Surprise #SnippetSunday from Back From the Past by Mia Downing

This week I'm doing 10 sentences for Snippet Sunday from my newest, a short m/m story written for the M/M Romance Group on Goodreads (click the link.) They also have a website where all the free reads will be available to download. Mine should be there next week, so if you're not a member of the M/M Group but would like to read, join! It's a great group.

Ten Sentence Snippet Sunday from Back From the Past...

With a swipe of his hand, Gregg parted the branches as a dark head surfaced a dive’s length away from the dock. The guy started swimming, his strong arms slicing the water in perfect, freestyle strokes, propelling that familiar body up the lake toward Gregg. There was no mistaking the width of those shoulders, or the strength of those large hands as they cut through the water.

His heart pounding in his chest, Gregg gulped in a huge breath of air. He fought the onslaught of memories that had fueled his fantasies for a decade. Heated flesh singed his, the hard cock against his leg as insistent as the tongue probing his mouth…Gregg shook his head to clear the memories.

The swimmer reached shore and rose from the water like a Greek god cast in tanned skin. He shook his head, the droplets of spraying water sparkling in the light of the setting sun. No way could Gregg deny who stood not fifty feet from him in waist-high water.

Jase Addams had finally come home.

Sometimes you want what you know you shouldn't have and it makes you want it more. I'm thinking that's the case here. Great snippet. :)

The one who got away? Or something more complicated? I'd love to find out!

Oh, yes, those memories do have a way of tugging at one's soul and insides in a way that cannot be ignored. Great snippet ... makes one want to read more. :)

Definitely makes you want to read more -- and great description -- that memory came across as very real and in the present as he lived it again. Well done.

Sounds like he has a big crush and this time needs to take the chance on what could be. Great set up, Mia. :)
